- the Yellow Comet Fighter is obviously based on the legendary World War II Japanese fighter plane, the A6M "Zero"...
- the Green Earth Fighter is easily identified as an A-10 "Warthog"...
- and the Orange Star Fighter is based on an F-15 Eagle.
There are some differences of course, but looking up the real life counterparts provides lots of inspiration to make my hand-drawn papercraft Advance Wars series: [link]
Have fun building!
I saw it, Eagle would be proud to have it! ;o)
But I'm afraid I really can't promise which paper models I'll make in the future, though; papercraft is only a hobby of mine, and I already have so many ideas that I probably already will never have the time to make all the paper models I want...! ;o)
Those are "real "versions, and they look really neat I think, but probably one that fits the Advance Wars "chibi" look better can be found on this website though: www.wa.commufa.jp/~ton/pcc/ind…
I'm sorry I can't promise you to make your own Advance Wars Me-262, but I don't want to make promises I can't keep of course, sorry... (
Grandfather was building them "sigh" what I would do to so I could fly one but then again like I said before an tank with wings so slow as hell
I'd also love a new, "classic" Advance Wars game! I think I would prefer keeping the turn based mechanics, though but hey, I also preferred the old graphics better and look what happened... ;o)
I've already been thinking about them, I think the Blue Moon Fighter is based on a Mirage 2000 and the Black Hole one might just be fantasy, but it also has a lot of UAV drone features, so I can use that as inspiration. ;o)
I doubt a whole squadron of Zeros could take out an Eagle in real life tho XD
I love classic AW... they better make another one for the 3ds
I'd also love a new, classic Advance Wars style game for the 3DS, but to be honest, if they make a new Advance Wars game, I think it will be in the darker, Days of Ruin style... (
Yeah, the series has been quiet for so long... I'd love to see the classic Wars setup brought back, in 3D... but what if it got, perhaps, a RTS makeover, as opposed to the old turn-based formula?
I'd also love a new, "classic" Advance Wars game. I think I would prefer keeping it turn based, though, but hey, I also preferred the classic visual style, and look what happened... ;o)
