Papercraft Star Wars TIE-fighter release! by ninjatoespapercraft Papercraft Star Wars TIE-fighter release! by ninjatoespapercraft
If you still remember those old video storage devices, you can work out the size of my new papercraft Star Wars TIE-fighter! ;o)

Although I'm a big sci-fi fan, this is actually the first Star Wars papercraft model I made myself!

I drew all the parts by hand, and coloured it using aquarel, which makes it look really nice I think. ;o)

I also made an interior for the command pod, and although most of it really just stems from my imagination, I really like the way it turned out. ;o)

The wings can be removed for easy storage, but you can also permanently glue them to the pylons if you want to of course.

Parts and instructions to build your own papercraft TIE-fighter are available from the new Star Wars section on my papercraft webpage: [link]

Have fun building!

Neat! I've shared the plans with the Bloomilk community, Im hoping it can be scaled to 1:52/1:48 for the SWMinis fans to play around with.
Any chance of some Republic and Separatist papercraft vehicles, or a B-Wing in 1:48 scale in PDF format (as opposed to blasted PDO files... gah they're annoying!)

Great work on this too by the way; the compound folds on this model are ridiculous and somehow you've got all those fiddly angles just right!

Thank you for your compliments, I'm glad you like my papercraft TIE-fighter!

I had a lot of fun making it, all by hand so it's definitely not a 1:1 copy of a "real" TIE-fighter, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out. ;o)

I'm a big sci-fi fan, so I'd definitely like to make more Star Wars paper models, but papercraft is just a hobby of mine, and I have so many other ideas as well, that I can't promise you when/which ones I might end up making in the future...!

Looks damn fine if you ask me; I wouldn't even notice it was hand drawn. You made it very accurate! Congrats on the model, it's one of the best Tie-s around in my opinion.

I'd love to make some more Star Wars models in the some time! ;o) But papercraft is just a hobby of mine, and I have so many other ideas as well, that I can't promise you which models I'll do in the future, or when exactly, sorry...!

Science-fiction and Star Wars is a pretty popular subject in papercraft, though: if you look around on the internet, you'll find many papercraft Star Wars models, including TIE-interceptors! ;o)
