Papercraft Walrus-class submarine WIP 5b by ninjatoespapercraft Papercraft Walrus-class submarine WIP 5b by ninjatoespapercraft

Sometimes I make my paper models directly by hand from cardstock/paper, but for my computermade papercraft models I make a 3D model first (either from scratch or using an existing video game model as base), then I unfold it in Pepakura Designer, and then I use different programs to fix the last issues and make the last changes for the actual templates, like on this Royal Netherlands Navy Walrus-class submarine! ;o)

Stay tuned for the release! ;o)

Expecting a Nautilus (50's one is best) to attack other paper ships!! Looks awesome! How was this even POSSIBRU?

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you like my papercraft works! I enjoyed making it, if you like papercraft and/or submarines, you can find some really neat ones on other websites too, including some Nautili:

or this one: zrppapercrafter.blogspot.com/2…

I don't know if they're of the 50's version (I think they're more modern versions) but if you search around, maybe you will be able to find it! ;o)

Thanks! It's a bit tricky to make the internal "ribs" exactly the right size though, depending on the thickness of paper you use for the hull...!

Right! Sometimes I lack paper for closing, and sometimes I have leftover paper. Sweating a little... But in this case, the ribs are more necessary :) (Smile)

If they never commission one named the Goo Goo G'joob, I will be very disappointed...
