young Lara Croft papercraft test build by ninjatoespapercraft young Lara Croft papercraft test build by ninjatoespapercraft
I glued some colours to the test build of the papercraft vignette, I think it will look very nice, even though they're from such an "old" game. ;o)

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! This is just the test build, though, I hope to release the final version in a week or two. ;o)

The brown part is her hair of course, and the "stick" sticking out of it is one of her pigtails. She is supposed to have two of course, but I only built one of them (and glued it on the wrong way...) for the test build, since they're both basically the same. ;o)

Not really mirrored (because they have to point the same way of course), but although the two pigtails aren't *exactly* the same, they have pretty much the same shape (curve) and they can be unfolded the same way, so the parts and how to build them are almost the same too.

In this picture, I simply rolled up and glued a strip of paper as tight as possible (like the machine gun barrels on my Advance Wars units). With a bit more attention than I used on this test build, it could work just like that I think.

But I think in the final build, I will use a piece of electrical wiring* or other thin, flexible metal wire, and wrap a piece of paper with a rope texture around it. Then it will definitely be strong enough to hold its shape with Lara hanging on to it. ;o)

(*The kind with one, thicker copper core you find in your house. In Dutch, it's usually called "installatiedraad", but I'm afraid I don't really know the proper English name for it: [link] )

Don't disassemble the old ones before you get the new ones...! ;o)

I'm pretty much in the final stage of making the papercraft model, so I hope to finish it in time for Christmas.
